I had to go to Atlanta last week for work. It was my quarterly visit in which I have to do filing and bookkeeping for my boss. #headachesandbackaches
I was really not looking forward to being gone from home for a whole week. I missed my husband and my kitties, and I know they missed me.#smooshies It was a stressful week but full of time spent fellowshipping and catching up with friends. #yay
Last Monday, I drove down and it took about 6 hours and that is with only one stop for a bathroom break. I didn't even stop to eat lunch because I hate eating alone, but also I had breakfast and it kept me satisfied until after I got to the office. #nexttimeithinki'lljustfly
I thought I would be bored the whole week, and so I took a whole bag of yarn and hooks to keep myself busy. I didn't crochet at all! Every night I managed to make plans with friends and kept myself out until 10pm! #woot
Monday night I got to see my friends Cassie and Forrest and their little girl Alexa! I was worried Alexa wouldn't remember me, but she ran up to me and gave me a big hug! Cassie is a chiropractor and she was nice enough to tell me why my running has been so bad lately and adjusted me. #sheisthebest
Tuesday night I went to see Nan and Don, parishioners from our church in Marietta. I forgot to remove my wind chime from the old parsonage when we move, and they were kind enough to go get it and hang on to it for me. They surprised me and took me out to dinner with the new pastor and his wife. That was a little unorthodox, but I was grateful for the time and fellowship.
Wednesday I got my haircut by the best in the biz, Mimi at Shear Love ATL. She is amazing! I recently found her before we moved, and will be going back every time I'm in town. She is that good. I showed her some pics, told her what I didn't like about my cut, and she made me look amazing. She also texturized my hair to take a lot of the weight out! I could literally go on and on. So if you live in Atlanta, go see her!
I also got to hang out with these cool dudes! #willandashleyheartheart
At the last minute, I asked them if they would go out to dinner with me on Wednesday and they were available! We went to Slice and Pint and caught up on everything that was going on. I love them so much and it was so much fun to hang with them again. They were so nice and treated me to dinner which I totally was not expecting!
Thursday was IKEA day. I had a list of stuff, but ended up going completely off the list and getting other things we needed more. Timothy has had his heart set on a cow hide rug for our living room. He also wanted to try some new bath mats. He also needed a bookshelf, floor lamp and roller chair for his office. Those items pretty much ate up my budget, but I did get a few small things that are must haves. They have the best napkins, plastic baggies and cinnamon buns!
Friday I drove the 6 hours home and was never happier to be back! #youhavenoidea
