I have jumped on the essential oil bandwagon.

My husband suffers from severe allergies and asthma. The poor guy has a hard time breathing daily and seems to get sinus infections like once a month. The last time he went to the doctor they told him that they wouldn't give him anymore antibiotics. That's a bad situation for a seminarian.

After doing a lot of research, I came across several essential oil blog posts and how they can help with allergies and sinus infections. Sold!

I bought some lavender, tea tree, peppermint and lemon essential oils to help him fight off what he had. He immediately started doing essential oil breathing treatments (essential oils + boiling water) to help clear out the infection and congestion. We also started putting the oils on the bottoms of our feet to help with the day to day allergy problems like sneezing and stuffy nose. I couldn't believe that it actually worked!

His sinus infection cleared up within a few days. It was amazing! I've also noticed that putting the lavender, lemon and peppermint on my feet everyday has essentially relieved my seasonal allergies.

As I mentioned before I did a lot of research before I purchased our oils. I saw that most people were recommending doTERRA and Young Living. There was no way that I could afford their prices on our tiny student budget. (If they are your preferred brand then that's awesome!)

After trying to figure out what we could afford, I found an awesome little company called Plant Therapy. I read all about them and loved how they were a small family oriented company. They also have well known aromatherapists that they employ. Their prices are very affordable and for what we needed they were perfect.

So if you decide to hop on the essential oil bandwagon, I highly recommend that you do your research on the oils and all the companies that sell them and choose the best one for you.

I am super excited to find more ways to use essential oils in our daily lives. There are so many possibilities and I can't wait to share what works for us!
